Jamie Christopher Hewlett is a British illustrator,  designer and director who is best known for his work as being the co-creator of the comic series Tank Girl and also the virtual band Gorrilaz.

He has recently designed illustrations for the vodka label 'Absolut Vodka' producing illustrations for a limited addition bottle branded 'Absolut London'.

His personal style is very witty and Humorous as he uses a comic/cartoon style with thick black lines and he also uses aspects from British cult fashion such as mods, rockers, punks and skin heads. And then he mixes the fashion up with a post apocalyptic, Mad Max sort of look which is something I am interested in doing with the characters in my illustrations such as taking aspects from the real world and developing it into a fantasy sci-fi look which I feel would contribute to giving my designs some character which is a very important aspect for my personal project.

Within my product and the theme of my project I am producing designs that will represent Manchester and the north west and with his designs for 'Apsolut vodka' he based his theme on London to represent and celebrate the culture and traditions of London and that is exactly what I am aiming within my project for Manchester and the north west.
