These are my mood boards of ideas that I produced which is showing what direction I wan't to take my project which is a Manchester/North West theme for a craft beer brewery that I have made up which has been inspired by Manchester and the North West of England.

 For my Manchester & North West England theme I will be looking at culture that represents the North West & Manchester such as music, football, fashion and Historic events.

​

I will take these elements for my ideas and then developing them into my promotional art for my beer labels.

​

I have been looking at different sort of themes that links to the north west of England and what could be an interesting element that could contribute towards my designs.

​

The themes that I have been looking are Northern soul as that music scene has contributed greatly toward north west youth culture during the 1970s and has inspired other music scenes such as Acid house, Madchester and Britpop. 

​

I have also been looking at the industrial revolution as Manchester and the north west was the industrial capital of the world during the late 1800s.

​

I have been looking at Football History  as that is another great north west tradition as theres many great Football clubs that have come from the north west such as the two Manchester clubs (Manchester United and Manchester City), the Merseyside clubs such as Liverpool and Everton and the Lancashire clubs such as Blackburn  Rovers, Burnley, Bolton, Blackpool and Preston North End.

I have also been looking at the Manchester music scene and iconic figures from that scene such as Morrisey, Mark E. Smith, Ian brown, John Cooper Clark, Frank Sidebottom and the Gallagher brothers (Noel and Liam). While I was looking at the music scene I was also looking looking at the fashion such as Parker Jackets, flare jeans and a mop of hair. I will using there fashion as inspiration towards my character designs.
